Los Angeles' Reprise! Broadway's Best is mounting a revival of the 1956 hit musical Li'l Abner, based on the Al Capp comic strip, starring Eric Martsolf, Brandi Lynn Burkhardt, Cathy Rigby and Fred Willard, under the direction of Michael Michetti.

Martsolf and Burkhardt, of NBC's "Passion's" fame, play Li'l Abner and Daisy Mae, while Rigby plays Mammy Yokum and Willard plays General Bullmoose.

BroadwayWorld's own James Sims was on hand for Li'l Abner's dress rehearsal earlier this week and spoke with the cast and creative team regarding the rigorous Reprise! schedule and about the comic-turned musical production.

Li'l Abner is being performed February 5 to 17 for 16 performances only at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA. The production is choreographed by Lee Martino, and has musical direction by Darryl Archibald.

Li'l Abner will perform Tuesday, February 5th through Sunday, February 17th (press opening February 6) at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA. For tickets, please call the UCLA Central Ticket Office at 310-825-2101 or visit www.reprise.org. And for more from James Sims visit www.simsscoop.com.
