Actress Stephanie St. James is currently performing in the First National Tour of Broadway's The Color Purple, playing the role of "Squeak" opposite Jeannette Bayardelle and Felicia P. Fields.
A resident of Los Angeles, St. James has performed in the European Tour of Fame - The Musical and as "Rusty" in the First National Tour of Footloose. When not acting on the stage the singer is busy recording music.
Following a personal battle with the disease Endometriosis, St. James is now also actively raising awareness of the serious condition that often goes undiagnosed in women and girls. BroadwayWorld's own James Sims spoke with St. James at Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's, speaking to the actress about The Color Purple as well as giving her an opportunity to address her personal struggles as March is Endometriosis Awareness Month.
