TV: Christine Ebersole, Nick Jonas and More Talk BUYER & CELLAR in LA; Plus a Sneak Peek at Michael Urie

"Buyer & Cellar" starring Michael Urie had its official Los Angeles opening Sunday, July 13, 2014 in front of a sold-out crowd at the Center Theatre Group's Mark Taper Forum, and BWW TV Los Angeles Producer and Host Michael Sterling and Co-Producer/Videographer Jordan Santacana were on hand for the star-studded festivities. Guests included Nick Jonas, Olivia Cuipo (Miss USA 2012), Academy Award winner Patty Duke, Academy Award nominee Renee Taylor and her husband Joe Bologna, Broadway and Television star Charlotte Rae, Celebrity Hair Stylist Daniel DiCriscio, 2-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole, film and television producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, and 2-time Tony Award winning Buyer & Cellar producer Darren Bagert, and Jonathan Tolins. Tolins' outrageous new comedy, directed by Stephen Brackett, continues performances at the Taper through August 17.

In "Buyer & Cellar" Alex More (played by Urie) has a story to tell. A struggling actor in Los Angeles, Alex takes a job working in the Malibu basement of a beloved megastar. One day, the Lady Herself comes downstairs to play. It feels like a real bonding in the basement but will their relationship ever make it upstairs? "Buyer & Cellar" is a hilarious new comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things and the oddest of odd jobs.

"Buyer & Cellar" received numerous awards and nominations for best solo show and Urie's performance, including the Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel and Clarence Derwent awards. Prior to Los Angeles, Michael Urie and "Buyer and Cellar" have appeared in NYC, Chicago and Washington, D.C., and following L.A., will go on to San Francisco and Dallas.
