Last week, the Beverly Center welcomed the cast of "All My Children" to LA. Production of the show just moved to the west coast from New in January. BroadwayWorld's Audra Stafford spoke with some of the stars about what they miss most about New York ("everything") and what they're most enjoying about California ("the weather"). She also spoke with Cameron Mathison about the highly anticipated 6th Annual ABC Daytime and SOAPnet Salute to Broadway Cares benefit taking place at Town Hall in New York City on March 21, 2010.
At Town Hall's sixth annual "ABC/SOAPnet Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, stars from ABC's "All My Children," "One Life to Live," "General Hospital" and "The View" will join together, singing and dancing on Broadway for a one-night-only gala concert in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. "
"All My Children" star Susan Lucci will headline and Cameron Mathison will serve as host for the evening's festivities. Joining them on stage is an all-star ABC Daytime cast including; Rebecca Budig, Ricky Paull Goldin, Melissa Claire Egan, Bobbie Eakes, Adam Mayfield and Cornelius Smith, Jr., from "All My Children." Kristen Alderson, Scott Clifton, Scott Evans, Kassie DePaiva, Mark Lawson, Nicholas Rodriguez, Tika Sumpter, Jason Tam and Brittany Underwood from "One Life to Live" and Bradford Anderson, Brandon Barash, Anthony Geary, Jonathan Jackson and Nathan Parsons from "General Hospital." The benefit will also feature a special musical performance from Sherri Shepherd, Emmy Award-winning co-host of "The View."
Additionally, the producers have announced the second installment of "SOAP-A-THON" on Tuesday, December 4th, 2009. "SOAP-A-THON" is an interactive online competition where fans of ABC Daytime dramas have the chance to win rare ABC Daytime memorabilia; truly an experience no ABC Daytime fan would want to miss "SOAP-A-THON" will focus on celebrating the unforgettable families residing in fictitious the towns of all three ABC Daytime shows, Pine Valley, Llanview and Port Charles. Once registered as "SOAP-A-THON" participants, fans can set up and personalize their own fundraising web page to show their support for their favorite ABC Daytime "family."
