Big day here at the Poppins as big changes are happening. First I had to fuel myself with a good brunch at this great restaurant called 26 beach restaurant. Touring is fun when you're able to go out and discover some amazing restaurants. If you ever go on tour, make sure to take advantage of all the amazing sights that each city has to offer.

So as I mentioned, big day! We had a put in rehearsal for three new cast members. A put in, for those not familiar with the lingo used in this business of show, is a rehearsal where new cast members perform the show in its entirety in costumes while the rest of the cast is there doing the show with them, usually in their street clothes. This is the last chance for a new cast member to get everything right before doing the show in front of a live audience.

So Sean Montgomery is the new Northbrook, Madison Mullahey is a new Jane Banks and Madeline Trumble is the new Mary Poppins. So they all went in the show tonight and it was MAGICAL! First of all I'm sure the audience felt the electricity in the air as they were incredible! Loud, cheering, laughing, clapping along. We couldn't help but have huge smiles on our faces and dance with more energy since we were being fuelled by this incredible power from the sold out crowd. The new cast members were amazing and are a perfect addition to the show.

And so that was my Friday. A great brunch, put in rehearsal and show. Oh it also helped that four former cast members of In The Heights and dear friends of mine were in the audience cheering loudly. After the show to wind down from this incredible energetic show, I found this great speakeasy called the Edison (not to be confused with the Edison hotel in NYC, no relation). It's an old power plant and it has been transformed into this great club with incredible cocktails.

Only three more shows left in Los Angeles!!!

Cheers,

Nicolas
