Juliet Landau and James Marsters, who portrayed the popular undead couple Drusilla and Spike on TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, are set for the world premiere of The Bells of West 87th, a new stage comedy by Elin Hampton.

Also featured in the cast are veteran actors Dagney Kerr ("April" in the award-winning indie feature Park),Carol Locatell (original Broadway cast of Broadway Bound) and Robert Towers (original Los Angeles Snoopy in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown).

The Bells of West 87th tells the story of soon-to-turn 40 Molly Fein (Landau) who believes her new poetry-class boyfriend (Marsters) may provide the means of escaping her crazy, dysfunctional, co-dependent parents Eli (Towers) and Ida (Locatell), as well as her (seemingly) has-it-all younger sister Maxine (Kerr).

Hampton's writing credits include the hit musical Who's Your Mommy?! (aka Amother Musical), written with composer Gerald Sternbach, which played to sold-out houses at the Hudson Backstage and was optioned for the New York stage, as well as writing and producing credits on television shows such as Mad About You, Dream On, Pinky and the Brain, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Jackie Thomas Show, Rugrats, House of Buggin, Life's Work and Baby Bob.

Directed by Richard Pierce, Bells is set to open at the Greenway Court Theatre on Sept. 7 with Round Swamp Entertainment and David Fury executive producing.
