Just days before New York City gathers to honor Broadway at the 70th Annual Tony Awards, the best and brightest Broadway performers are being assembled to celebrate and give back right here in Los Angeles. On Thursday, June 9th at the El Portal Theater in North Hollywood, an elite cast of Broadway veterans will take to the stage for a one-night only benefit concert performing numbers from the award-winning Broadway shows that put them on the map - RENT, WICKED, AVENUE Q, HAIRSPRAY, DREAMGIRLS, LES MISERABLES, SWEET CHARITY, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and more. This will be a stellar night of song and dance with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission.

"It's not often we get to the chance to revisit the shows that gave us our start," remarked the show's Executive Producer Michael-Leon Wooley (Broadway's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE MUSIC MAN). "Giving back has always been a huge part of the Broadway community, and although a lot of us have changed our focus to movies, TV, and even raising families- we all cut our teeth on 'the Broadway'. Doing this benefit was a no brainer, and I am constantly astounded by the tireless work the Mission does for the homeless and those in need."

The incredible cast of performers include: Chandra Lee Schwartz (WICKED, GYPSY), Rhett George (SWEET CHARITY, MEMPHIS), J. Elaine Marcos (PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, ANNIE), Joan Almedilla (MISS SAIGON), Jessica Snow Wilson (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, LES MISERABLES), Sharon Catherine Brown (DREAMGIRLS, JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT), Marc Petrosino, Ava Gaudet (RENT), Kathy Deitch (WICKED, FOOTLOOSE), Clent Bowers, Haneefah Wood (AVENUE Q, RENT), Lynette Dupree (BRING IN 'DA NOISE, BRING IN 'DA FUNK), Courtney Lopez (A CHORUS LINE, THE LITTLE MERMAID), Benjamin Schrader (THE BOOK OF MORMON, RAGTIME), Jessica Lea Patty (A CHORUS LINE, EVITA), and many more!

Recently L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti declared a State of Emergency for the plight of the homeless in the city. Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission understands this plight first-hand.

"We at Hope of the Valley are thrilled to see the overwhelming response from Broadway's elite singers and performers to help address the homeless crisis in Los Angeles. In the past 12 months, homelessness has increased 37% in the San Fernando Valley. This is unprecedented. And of that increase, 25% are individuals 55 years of age and older. Each person attending this world class event will not only be awed by the talent and gifts of each performer, they will have the satisfaction of knowing they are part of the solution to reducing homelessness in Los Angeles." said Ken Craft, President & CEO. "We are currently in the process of opening a new facility that will provide a higher quality of service and create a safe environment for the homeless. This benefit will allow us to make the facility even more successful than we ever imagined."

"Homelessness affects so many, both seen and unseen. Being homeless is part of my story," says Sharon Catherine Brown (Broadway's DREAMGIRLS, JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT) "...and I could not be more honored to be a part of this concert."

The event is Executive Produced by Michael-Leon Wooley, along with Associate Producers J. Elaine Marcos and Kymberli McKanna.

General admission tickets start at $26.00. There are a limited number of VIP tickets which include premium seating, cocktails, and a meet & greet with the cast for $75.00. Doors open at 6:30 P.M. The show begins at 8:00 P.M. A silent auction will be open to all in attendance. Tickets are available at: https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe.c/10095122.
