Marin Theatre Company Nu Werkz Series presents BLOOD / MONEY by A. Zell Williams | directed by Jon Tracy: A staged reading
Winner of the 2008 David Calicchio Emerging American Playwright Prize: Blood / Money by A. Zell Williams- MTC's Nu Werkz series presents staged readings of works by new and emerging playwrights.
Four years after the passing of an African American family's matriarch, the Solomon children are still coping with their loss. The patriarch is a rolling stone, bred from the Black Power movement. In between these monuments of the American family, the son and daughter try to define their own lives outside of their parents' legacy. A. Zell Williams' Blood / Money is a powerful and insightful 21st century reaction to August Wilson's influential 20th century masterpiece Fences.
Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12, 7:30 PM
