The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA)/Los Angeles will honor Michael Sheen and Christopher Nolan on November 4, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Sheen will be presented with the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year, while Nolan will be honored with the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for artistic excellence in directing.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Hyatt Regency Plaza Hotel. Stephen Fry will be the master of ceremonies, the Reporter reports.
Michael Sheen has appeared on Broadway in FROST/NIXON and AMADEUS. His screen credits include the role of Tony Blair in 'The Deal,' 'The Queen,' and 'The Special Relationship,' the film version of FROST/NIXON, 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'Dirty Filthy Love,' 'New Moon,' and 'The Damned United.'
Christopher Nolan's directing credits include the recent 'Inception,' as well as 'Following,' 'Memento,' 'Insomnia,' 'Batman Begins,' 'The Prestige,' and 'The Dark Knight.' He also worked on writing and production for many of these films.
