Artists Rise Up Los Angeles Presents Benefit Performance Of MIXTAPE  ImageARTISTS RISE UP LOS ANGELES presents an evening of powerful songs, MIXTAPE, benefiting School on Wheels.

ABOUT "ARTISTS RISE UP LOS ANGELES"

ARTISTS RISE UP LOS ANGELES, the brainchild of director and executive producer Sue Hamilton, (in collaboration with ARTISTS RISE UP NEW YORK and its leader, Jessica Litwak), was born as a result of the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election: "ARULA speaks to the need to create positive, social and revolutionary change by being who we are and doing what we DO," shares Sue Hamilton.

ARULA boasts over one hundred and fifty members and continues to grow each day. It is made up of diverse members of the creative community, representing actors, directors, writers, filmmakers, singers and dancers, spoken word artists, photographers and others, all of whom have come together to RISE UP.

WE WILL NOT BE SILENT. WE WILL USE OUR UNIQUE ARTISTIC VOICES TO BRING SOCIAL JUSTICE AND POSITIVE CHANGE TO THE WORLD.

We hope that through our art we can encourage not only understanding, but activism. ARULA aims to inspire all who wish to be proactively involved the ability to RISE UP, get involved in social change, and unite our community through creativity.

MIXTAPE

Performed by a diverse group of artists, MIXTAPEis an evening of inspiring, powerful and humorous songs, inspired by today's political circus.

Highlights will include:

Pop, rock, folk, Broadway and original material performed by Amy Keys, Benai Boyd, Bryan Johnson, Chrissie Fit, Hannah Nordberg, Heidi Godt, Jenna Lea Rosen, Jennifer Kumiyama, Joseph Silva, Julia Gregory, Laura Coyle, Matthew Patrick Davis, Robert Yacko, Vybration, Suzanne Slade and William Martinez, among others.

Directed by Heidi Godt and Enrico Villanueva.

All proceeds from the one-time performance will go to School on Wheels. Celebrating their 25thanniversary, School on Wheels provides academic tutoring to children living in shelters, motels, cars, group foster homes and on the streets in Southern California. They provide homeless students stability in a time of stress and transition, and help them achieve educational success so that they may break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Representatives from School on Wheels will be present to facilitate, educate and empower people to contribute their time, talents orfunds if desired.

SCHEDULE AND PRICING

General seating ticket price is $30 with all proceeds going to School on Wheels.
