Saatchi featured POP artist Annie Terrazzo has come on board to help shape Breedlove Productions' The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot, opening at the Hudson Backstage Theatre in Hollywood on July 19.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot is a scathingly provocative contemplation on the meaning of forgiveness by playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis (The Motherf***er with the Hat) in which the Bible's most notorious traitor is tried in a present-day urban courtroom.

According to director Josh T. Ryan, Terrazzo joined the team last week. "Annie is an old friend and colleague," he said. "I wanted to bring an authentic post-punk pop art vibe to the show. After all, it's set in purgatory."

Annie Terrazzo has been creating mixed media and trash portraiture for almost 10 years and has sold over 500 works. Originally from Colorado, Annie studied art with her family of jewelers and plein air artists and then moved on to study graphic design and portraiture in San Francisco. Since then, she has devoted her time to capturing the current depreciation of newspapers and found paper, making fun of and preserving them. Her work has been featured in the CBS miniseries Ice, CW's Nikita and Syfy's Alphas. She has shown in London, New York, Miami and will have a solo show in Santa Monica at Hale Arts in Sept. Recently, her work was published by Poets and Arts Magazine and The TJ Eckleburg Review, and she was spotlighted by Saatchi Online as a featured artist in L.A. and in their Pop Art collections. "Detritus," Annie's most recent artistic endeavor, is made completely out of newspapers and vintage magazines from around the world.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot opens on July 19 and continues through Aug. 24, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm. Tickets are $30; students and seniors get in for $20. The Hudson Backstage is located at 6539 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90038. For information and to purchase tickets, call (323) 960-7738 or go to www.plays411.com/judas.
