Writing about Anne Kerry Ford, the LA Weekly said, "This magnificent singer reaches to pull out emotional moments that soar beyond cabaret into moving theater." Ms. Ford's remarkable talent has been hailed by critics and colleagues alike: "This is a bravura cabaret performance by the very talented Anne Kerry Ford," wrote Michael P. Gladstone in All About Jazz.

There will also be an additional special performance in Mill Valley, California at 142 Throckmorton Theater on Friday, October 30th. Call for information: (415) 383 9600.

Her original show, "Weill," was recorded with W.D.R.'s Big Band in Cologne, Germany's Philharmonic Hall for Kurt Weill's centenary with arrangements by Roger Kellaway. And "Pirate Jenny" made USA Today's playlist of "Ten intriguing tracks" which Elysa Gardener described as "...girl power brings memorable sturm and drang to the Brecht/Weill classic." The Santa Barbara Independent gushed, "...a glorious and fascinating celebration of one of the greatest 20th century songwriters."

The wide variety of music from both Weill's German and American songbooks include selections from Lady in the Dark, Knickerbocker Holiday, Lost in the Stars, One Touch of Venus, Street Scene, Love Life, Where Do We Go from Here?, Threepenny Opera, Happy End, Marie Galante, and Johnny Johnson. All songs will be sung in English by Ms. Ford and her pianist John Boswell.

Lotus Outreach is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the education, health and safety of vulnerable women and children in the developing world. All proceeds from these cabaret concerts will go directly to this worthy cause.
