Los Angeles play development lab Fierce Backbone joins forces with Drive Theatre to launch audiences into a murder mystery on a mission to Mars. Amy Tofte's futuristic dramedy WOMEN OF 4G launched on May 19 for a four-week run and is now extended through June 17.

WOMEN OF 4G marks dual playwright and screenwriter Tofte's 4th full-length production in Los Angeles. Inspired by the Bechdel Test (which examines if a work of fiction features at least two named women who talk to each other about something other than a man), WOMEN OF 4G deals with relationships between women under extreme duress. Part murder mystery, part space thriller, Women of 4G uses a science fiction world to ask questions about power, leadership, responsibility, and ultimately, sacrifice.

Seventy-five years in the future, an all-female crew and their male captain depart on what appears to be a routine mission to Mars ... until the captain is murdered and the real mission comes to light.

WOMEN OF 4G is directed by Doug Oliphant and features the talents of Jully Lee as STARK, Cady Zuckerman as WOLLMAN, Lily Rains as NATAKI, Samantha Barrios as BASTON, Janlyn Williams as CAVA, Jane H. Kim as TOULLE, and Isabelle Loeb as PIERCE.

There is valet parking available at Melrose Umbrella Co., directly across from the theater. Please arrive early to take advantage of it. Additional street parking is available in the neighborhood; check posted signs carefully.

Women of 4G opened Friday, May 19 and will now run through Saturday, June 17. General seating admission is $25, performances are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 4pm. Show runs 120 minutes with one intermission. Tickets may be purchased online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2919599 or by calling (800) 838-3006. The Zephyr Theatre is located at 7456 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, CA 90046.
