The Fairy Tale Players are back with their latest production featuring brand new tales...set to MUSIC! Life as a grown up does not have to be challenging if you have the proper tools. If you're a problem-riddled adult, it's time to learn new lessons. By utilizing multiple musical genres, like opera for the gay cat ballet tale, or a Sondheim homage to a penguin on the verge of giving up his lifelong dream of flying, this new Fairy Tale Theatre 18 & Over: The Musical offers scrupulous guidance in a not-so-discreet comedy that is sure to pleasure even the fussiest.
"About ten years ago while on what I thought was a date, three of the guy's brothers showed up... and I wished there was something that could teach me whether or not this is a date. Thus, fairy tales for adults was born," says playwright Michael J. Feldman. "Growing up, we hear lots of stories to learn our lessons but as adults we're left to fend for ourselves. Where did our bedtime stories go? All of these tales actually have, at their core, a humanity that we can all recognize...like dealing with unrequited love."
Michael J. Feldman (Playwright) created Fairy Tale Theatre: 18 & Over, the critically acclaimed stage show optioned as a television series for FX with Billy Crystal's Face Productions, and now Warner Bros digital with Wildline Entertainment. Feldman has written for numerous TV shows including The Inbetweeners (MTV), The Neighbors (ABC), Deadbeat (HULU), Kevin From Work (FREEFORM), and an upcoming half-hour Marvel comedy. He created a web series with his husband called Michael & Michael Are Gay, set to be released fall 2018. Feldman is currently developing an animated feature for The Jim Henson Company.
