Grab 'Em By the Productions presents the Eve Ensler classic "The Vagina Monologues," for a one-night only performance at9:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Mother, Feminist, Philanthropist, and Entrepreneur Amber Rose will join the audience as a special guest. The event will take place at the Museum of Broken Relationships, 6751 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028.
The Museum of Broken Relationships, with exhibits exploring the meaning behind disrupted love, will open its doors after hours for this special event, serving as the perfect backdrop to showcase the quintessential work that brings to light an often-taboo subject. With such well-known chronicles as "The Flood," "My Angry Vagina," and "The Little Coochie Snorcher That Could," "The Vagina Monologues" explores women's relationships, experiences, traumas and triumphs with their vaginas. Cast includes Joy Haven (General Hospital), Kelsey Arnold (Girlboss), Amber Luallen (Mindy Project), and other local Los Angeles actresses. Directed by Adriana Colón, with Joy Haven as Executive Producer and Rachel Richardville as Production Manager.
"We're living in a time where we need to make a bold stand for what we believe in, especially now with the current administration's assault on women's rights," says Haven. "We are grateful to the Museum of Broken Relationships, who offered up their space in advance of our planned series of performances of "The Vagina Monologues," taking place in February 2018 as part of the official V-Day event celebrating the global fight to end violence against women and girls."
A portion of the proceeds will go to The Amber Rose Foundation, which aims to promote discussion about women's rights and equality issues. The event is sponsored by Booked Talent, Mezcalero, and Fort Point Beer Co. Tickets are now on sale now at http://www.universe.com/vaginamonologues.
