The Coterie is proud to present Alistair Tober in an intimate holiday concert performance. Modern Day Crooner and Universal Fontana Recording Artist, Alistair Tober will perform classic Jazz standards, original songs inspired by The Great American Songbook and Holiday favorites backed by his 5 piece band. Special guests to be announced shortly. Alistair Tober: Hollywood Crooner Concert, playing December 12th, is a holiday music event that is not to be missed!

Alistair Tober was recently called “the Crooner for a new generation, with a vocal sensibility similar to voices from the Big Band and American Standards era, while displaying a feeling and understanding for the style and emotion found in today’s original music.” His voice has become a familiar sound in many music circles around the world including Adult Contemporary, Jazz and American Songbook styles. Alistair maintains a busy recording schedule, lending his voice to many popular film soundtracks, television programs and studio albums, all while maintaining a year-round live performance schedule.

Alistair’s first solo album, aptly titled, “From The Start,” was released and distributed through Universal Fontana in 2009, under the guidance of longtime music industry professional, Leo Rossi, co-produced by Josh Nelson, Kyle Puccia and Alistair. Several songs off this album have been used in feature films, most notably, “Just The Way You Look Tonight,” in the feature, “The Other End of The Line, for MGM. “Taco Shop,” a comedy feature set to be released in 2012 will feature another of Alistair’s original songs, “If I See Your Face Again,” and Alistair is music supervising the film as well. “From The Start,” paid tribute to the Standards and Singers of the 21st century, inspired by Crooners like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme and Chet Baker.

Alistair is currently working on his second solo album, which leans more towards Blue Eyed Soul, with a Retro Groove while maintaining a sense of that Big Band Crooner sound. Prior to his solo recording career, Alistair spent time on the road with theatrical productions including, Rock of Ages, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease and Singin’ In The Rain. He also headlined the national tour of “Wizard” a tribute to composer Harold Arlen, he sang in the touring revue, “Gershwin Sing Gershwin” and Alistair continues to perform with a 32 piece orchestra alongside Barbara Morrison in a Big Band show titled, “Come Fly With Me.”

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Alistair attendEd Hamilton Music Academy studying voice, this helped earn him a scholarship for Jazz Vocals to The University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. While at U.S.C., Alistair added a B.A. in Acting from the School of Theatre. During his senior year at U.S.C., he spent seven months overseas performing in Europe and Great Britain, while also studying at The British American Dramatic Academy in London.

Alistair has performed with Broadway stars including, Ben Vereen, Ted Neely, Laura Bell Bundy, Chad Kimball and David Burnham. He has sung with platinum recording artists including Englebert Huperdinck, Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D, Adam Lambert, Placido Domingo, Taylor Dane, Cisco and Dru Hill, Katharine McPhee, Nikki Harris and JR Richards of Dishwalla.
