Opus - Sex, drugs and chamber music! Jonathan Adams (Bones), Adam Arkin (Chicago Hope), Jere Burns (Justified, Burn Notice), Steven Culp (Desperate Housewives) and Liza Weil (The Gilmore Girls, Scandal) star when L.A. Theatre Works records Michael Hollinger's humorous and compelling behind-the-scenes look at a "high-strung" string quartet, tongiht, May 17 through May 20.

A world-famous ensemble threatens to unravel when its most talented member goes missing just before a high-profile performance at the White House. A young woman is hired to take his place - but with only days left to prepare, the musicians must navigate the creative, yet often disharmonious, path of creating a masterpiece. Hollinger skillfully establishes how four very distinct personalities must, in the pursuit of artistic excellence, synthesize with one another to create one seamless sound.

All performances will be recorded to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide (locally, in Southern California, on KPFK 90.7 FM) and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

The performance runs  Thursday, May 17 @ 8 pm, Friday, May 18 @ 8 pm, Saturday, May 19 @ 3 pm & 8 pm and Sunday, May 20 @ 2 pm & 7 pm at the James Bridges Theater, UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, located at 235 Charles E. Young Drive, Los Angeles, Calif. (enter UCLA from Hilgard just south of Sunset Blvd.; park in Lot 3 on the lower level).

Tickets are $15-$49. Call 310-827-0889 or visit www.latw.org for tickets and more information.
