Maude comes from an acclaimed show business family: her grandmother starred in George White's Scandals (1926); her grandfather, the star vocalist for the Harry James Big Band; her parents met while performing with Lauren Bacall in the Broadway musical Applause; and her sister is Fiona Apple. Born and raised in New York City, Maude created a stir in Hollywood with her debut at the Gardenia -- the Los Angeles Times said "Maude Maggart's talent and imagination offer hope for the future of cabaret." Fostered by Andrea Marcovicci and Michael Feinstein, she has performed at Feinstein's in Manhattan, the Plush Room in San Francisco, and beyond.
Music Director: Shelly Markham
For our 45th Kritzerland show we are truly pleased to present the amazing songs of Cole Porter. Yes, at this show, Anything Goes and you'll be Dream Dancing and Too Darn Hot but That's All Right With Me because Every Time We Say Goodbye Let's Misbehave. Cole Porter's body of work is so astonishing that narrowing down our show to eighteen songs was one of the most daunting things ever, so we've just gone with the songs we love most - some classics and some lesser-known, as is typical of our Kritzerland shows. We have assembled a wonderful cast to do Mr. Porter proud. So, please join us for some of the most melodic music ever written, with lyrics that are clever, heartfelt, wicked and just plain sublime.
