Covina Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to present A Christmas Carol in a completely original design and production at the new, multi-million dollar Covina Center for the Performing Arts.  The CCPA production of A Christmas Carol is directed by Dennis Kyle and features a brand new book adaptation by CCPA Artistic General Director Patrick Copeland. A Christmas Carol, the seventh and final production of the Covina Center for the Performing Arts premiere season, opens Friday, December 5, for a 3-week run that will close on Sunday, December 21.

A Christmas Carol is the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, who encounters three ghosts who help him understand the error of his ways, and the Cratchit family, who teach Scrooge about the power of family, love, and the holiday season. Based on the classic story by Charles Dickens, this version of A Christmas Carol is holiday entertainment for the entire family. Copeland’s adaptation is in one act. Performed without an intermission, it is theatre for children and the young at heart.

A Christmas Carol stars award winning actress Tracy Lore as Mrs. Cratchitt, Paul Springer as her husband Bob Cratchitt, and welcomes noted TV actor Dean Cudworth as Ebenezer Scrooge. All three make their CCPA debuts in this production.  Featured in the company are Raymond Barcelo, Natalie Copeland, Amanda Davies, Aly Ferguson, Kristen Lynne Kobaut, Gregory Murdock, Mark Rainey, Jonathan Russell, Dana Tomasko, Chris Van Etten and Madelyn Jones.

The show runs Wednesday through Sunday, December 5-21, Wednesdays-Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 7:00 pm, and Sundays at 3:00 pm.
