Ophelia's Jump Productions, a non-profit public benefit corporation, is honored to announce its new partnership with the Pomona College Department of Theatre and Dance: Theatre for the Claremont Colleges. Ophelia's Jump will stage four shows in their upcoming season at the Seaver Theatre, Sontag Greek Theatre and Allen Theatre on the Pomona College campus. In addition, Ophelia's Jump and Pomona College Theatre will collaborate to provide new learning opportunities for students of the Claremont Colleges and area residents through master classes, internships, and workshops.

"The Pomona College Theatre is excited and honored to begin this relationship with Ophelia's Jump," stated Pomona College Professor of Theatre, James Taylor. "We have been impressed with the caliber of performances and artistic choices the company has made in their first season, with plays that are rarely seen outside of professional theaters in the Los Angeles area. We are thrilled by the opportunities this collaboration will present to our students and the community."

"As an alumna of the Claremont Colleges and a local resident, I am looking forward to creating great theatre in these beautiful venues, and collaborating with the students, staff and faculty of the Claremont Colleges," said Beatrice Casagran, Founding Artistic Director of Ophelia's Jump. She added, "Pomona College, ranked #2 in Forbes list of top colleges for 2013, provides a perfect partner for Ophelia's Jump to pursue our goals of bringing creative and challenging theatre to the region. This relationship ends our nomadic ways and gives Ophelia's Jump an opportunity to produce our shows at venues matching the artistic and technical needs of our ambitious 2014 season. The collaboration also affords Ophelia's Jump artists and Pomona College Theatre faculty the opportunity to collaborate on projects and community outreach thus making Claremont a hub of serious theatrical production and innovation for the east San Gabriel and Inland Empire regions."

Ophelia's Jump will also continue its strong partnership with the iconic and venerable dA Center for the Arts in Pomona. The first show of the 2014 season, BOSTON MARRIAGE by David Mamet, will take place at the new Ophelia's Jump dA Blackbox Theatre. In addition, Ophelia's Jump will continue to produce its Readers' Theatre Series which focuses on bringing less frequently produced works to the public on a "pay what you can basis", as well as other more experimental and community based projects such as the all-female sketch comedy of Feminine Mystake, Ma at the dA, theatre for younger audiences, and new pieces by young local and regional artists.
