Single tickets for the 2009 summer season at the Hollywood Bowl go on sale this Saturday, May 2. It's the 88th season for the historic venue - one of the most renowned summer cultural venues in the United States - and the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 1922.
The 2009 summer season spans 14 weeks, from June to September, and includes presentations of classical music by the Los Angeles Philharmonic; popular weekend shows with the Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra; jazz; world music; pop; rock; and special presentations, as well as family and educational programs.
Season highlights include Adele with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra Strings; Beastie Boys; Death Cab for Cutie with the Los Angeles Philharmonic;
Aretha Franklin; July 4 Fireworks Spectacular with
John Fogerty;
Guys and Dolls in Concert;

Patti LaBelle; Sergio Mendes; An Evening with
