Today's ARTS IN REVIEW on KPFK airs at 8pm

Julio Martinez-hosted Arts in Review, celebrating the best in theater and cabaret in the greater Los Angeles area-airs tonight, Friday at 8-8:30pm on KPFK (90.7FM). Today, Arts in Review hosts magician/actor Albie Selznick, host of Monday Magic at Santa Monica Playhouse.

Monday Magic at Santa Monica Playhouse developed out of Selznick's show, Smoke and Mirrors, which had been running at the Playouse on weekends. Deciding not to waste his setup in the theatre, Selznick began inviting magician's from the Magic Castle to come perform on their Monday night off. Each Monday features Selznick as the emcee host and three acclaimed Mafic Castle Magicians, plus a pre-show magician (7:30pm) to lead everyone into the house.

Albie Selznick first reached worldwide acclaim as a member of the Mums, a three-member touring/juggling ensemble that toured the world opening for such acts as Duran Duran, The Tubes, Berlin and Devo.
