Spotlight Gala 2011 starring Kerry Butler and Jarrod Spector at Landmark on Main Street

Landmark on Main Street's beautiful Spotlight Gala will take place on Saturday evening, November 5, 2011 with a special and unique double-bill by two current Broadway stars: Kerry Butler and Jarrod Spector and a post-concert celebration in the tented Spotlight Club. Leslie & Andy Abramowitz, Fern & Hersh Cohen and The Johnson Family: Stuart, Elizabeth (Kase) & Craig will be honored for their contributions to the organization and the community. The Gala Leadership includes Chairs Maggie & Stephen Black and Angela & Scott Jaggar and Honorary Chairs Angela Susan Anton, Jane and Robert Harding, Eric Krasnoff, Pall Corporation, Lillian McCormick, and Dot and Ed Slade.

Landmark's spotlight shines on two of Broadway's brightest talents in the Jeanne Rimsky Theater. Kerry Butler is currently starring in Catch Me If You Can and previously held leading roles in Xanadu, Rock of Ages and Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, Beauty & the Beast, Les Miserables and Blood Brothers. "Ms. Butler is the rare Broadway ingénue who is as funny as she is pretty, and she sings gloriously, too..." wrote Charles Isherwood of the The New York Times. Jarrod Spector currently plays the Frankie Valli role in Broadway's hit musical Jersey Boys and Landmark's Spotlight Gala audience will hear musical selections ranging from the 50's, 60's, 70's and present day as he shares his experiences as a child Star Search champion to Ivy League dropout and to Broadway as one of the most iconic rock singers.

An elegant gala reception follows the concert in the Spotlight Club - a beautiful tented hall adjacent to the theater. The Spotlight Gala is Landmark's most important fundraising event of the year when community members can take in a world-class performance and celebrate with friends - while providing support for this not-for-profit organization. Landmark is also the home of the Parent Resource Center, the Port Washington Children's Center, the Teen Center, and the Doctors' Gym that all provide essential services to the community.
