BYE BYE BIRDIEA Musical ComedyBook by Michael StewartMusic by Charles StrouseLyrics by Lee AdamsOriginally Produced by Edward PaduaRock star Conrad Birdie is the biggest thing to top the charts. Women love him, men want to be him and teenage girls around the country scream with glee at the mere mention of his name. But when the United States Army drafts Birdie, manager Albert Peterson sees his meal ticket preparing to fly the coop (much to the delight of longtime love Rose Alvarez, who cant wait for Albert to ditch the music biz and become something respectable, like an English teacher). Desperate for a publicity stunt big enough to help them survive Birdies departure, Albert and Rose hatch a plan: send Conrad to small-town America to plant his goodbye kiss on one lucky fan for the entire world to see. Their selection of super fan Kim Macafee sends the wholesome enclave of Sweet Apple, Ohio into chaos. Kims boyfriend, Hugo, cant take the humiliation of his lady loves televised lip-lock. Rose cant take another minute of Alberts distracted ways. And Sweet Apple cant take its teens riotous rebellion, inspired by the arrival of bad-boy Birdie. Will Sweet Apple ever be the same?PERFORMANCE DATES AND TIMES:Saturday, August 6 8:00PMSunday, August 7 2:00PMWednesday, August 10 2:00PMFriday, August 12 8:00PMSaturday, August 13 8:00PMSunday, August 14 2:00PMWednesday, August 17 7:30PMFriday, August 19 8:00PMSaturday, August 20 8:00PMFor tickets, call the Box Office at 631-218-2810 or visit www.CMPAC.comBYE BYE BIRDIE is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC. www.ConcordTheatricals.com
