On Friday February 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and Saturday February 8 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. a multinational cast of actors and directors will be performing in a ten minute play theater festival called Fun Fast Feb Fest that will be audience-judged at the Greek Cultural Center, 2680 30th Street, Astoria Queens, 11102.
One of the plays is Sarah Bitar's playwriting debut, At a Crossroads which was inspired by the current revolution in her native Lebanon.
The story is an artistic dialogue between a fictionalized rendering of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera as they worked in New York City as artists under the New Deal Legislation of the 1930's. In the bathroom of the hotel where Frida and Diego live, she is suffering while Diego's mural for Rockefeller Center is threatened. What decisions are those who see the world through the lens of creation left with in such times?
Directed by: Billy HigginsStarring: Sarah Bitar and Richard Barreto
