Announcing the cast and creative team for the comedic flight, Boeing Boeing. Fasten your seat belt for a roaring ride that will take you up, up and away. Previews begin on Thursday, March 21 at 8:00 p.m.; with the official opening on Saturday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. and running through May 5, 2013.
In Marc Camoletti's high-flying Tony Award winning comedy we meet Bernard Lawrence, a successful architect living in a posh Paris apartment, as he deftly juggles three fiancées who are all flight attendants. Careful planning of the airline timetables, and a bit of assistance from Bernard's reluctant housekeeper, keeps the affairs going. But this supersonic lifestyle hits turbulence when a new, faster Boeing jet is introduced. Boeing Boeing held the world record for being the longest-running comedy in London's West End. The 1965 film version starred Jerry Lewis and Tony Curtis, and the 2008 Tony-winning revival featured Bradley Whitford, Mark Rylance, Christine Baranski, Gina Gershon and Mary McCormack.
Boeing Boeing is produced by RICHARD T. DOLCE, the theater's Producing Artistic Director.
The Director, BT McNicholl, recently won raves for the American premiere of The Gronholm Method, a play starring Stephen Spinella, Jonathan Cake, Lesli Margherita and Graham Hamilton which is currently nominated for Best Production by the L.A. Drama Critics Circle. He is the director of the current national tour of Spamalot. He is a BMI Award-winning writer whose shows include the Off-Broadway success The It Girl. He spent 2 seasons at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and has directed award-winning productions for The Goodspeed Opera House (Connecticut Drama Critics, "Best Musical"), Dorset Theatre Festival, and the Walnut Street Theater. McNicholl has been a member of the creative team for 12 Broadway plays and musicals with directors Mike Nichols, Sam Mendes, Rob Marshall, David Hare, Stephen Daldry, James Lapine, and Jerry Zaks.
