Bay Street Theater is pleased to continue adding to the Comedy Club line up for this summer. The two all new shows just added are Robert Klein on Saturday, June 22, and Colin Quinn on Saturday, July 27. Tickets for both shows go on sale to the public on April 5. The return ofPaula Poundstone on Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday, May 25, was recently announced and tickets are already on sale and are going fast according to Bay Street Theater. All of the Comedy Club shows are at 8 pm. The Summer Comedy Club is sponsored in part by Hampton Implantology. For tickets go online to www.baystreet.org or call the Box Office at 631-725-9500. Robert Klein returns to the Comedy Club on June 22 with an all new show. He has made several sold-out performances at Bay Street Theater. For more than forty years, he has entertained audiences, on Broadway, on television, and in film. His documentary Robert Klein Still Can't Stop His Leg aired on STARZ and features Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Maher, Ray Romano, David Steinberg, Fred Willard, John Stewart, Jay Leno and others discussing Klein's influence on their careers, comedy, and their reverence of his comedic genius. Klein was a member of the famed Second City theatrical troupe in Chicago and was nominated twice for Grammy Awards for "Best Comedy Album of the Year" for his albums Child of the Fifties and Mind Over Matter. He received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor and won a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the hit Neil Simon musical, They're Playing Our Song. Klein won an Obie and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in The Sisters Rosensweig. As the first comedian to appear in a live concert on Home Box Office, he has made nine one-man shows for HBO and received his first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music and Lyrics for Robert Klein: Child in His 50's. His special for HBO, Robert Klein: Unfair and Unbalanced earned him a second Emmy nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. Dozens of starring and guest-starring roles on television include Sisters, Law and Order, Will & Grace, Madame Secretary, The Good Wife and Royal Pains. He regularly appears on talk shows, making more than 100 appearances on The Tonight Show and Late Show with David Letterman.

Notable films including, Hooper, The Owl and the Pussycat, Primary Colors, People I Know, Two Weeks Notice, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and The Back-Up Plan with Jennifer Lopez. The Amorous Busboy of Decatur Avenue, his first book for Simon & Schuster, is an affectionate coming-of-age memoir about growing up in the '50s and '60s before embarking on a show business career.

Colin Quinn is a stand-up comedian from Brooklyn (okay, Park Slope). From MTV's Remote Control to SNL to Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Mr. Quinn is not one to take a hint and bow out gracefully. He's been on Broadway with Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake and Colin Quinn: Long Story Short (also an HBO special) and off-Broadway with his show Colin Quinn: Unconstitutional (available on Netflix) and Colin Quinn: The New York Story, directed by Jerry Seinfeld (also available on Netflix). Recent credits include Trainwreck, Girls, and his web series Cop Show, streaming now on LStudio.com. His first book, The Coloring Book, is now out from Grand Central Publishing. In January 2019, Colin Quinn premiered his newest one-man show, Red State Blue State, to rave reviews at The Minetta Lane Theatre in New York.

Paula Poundstone, who has sold out her many shows at Bay Street Theater, brings an all new show on Saturday, May 25. With smart, observational humor and a legendary spontaneous interaction with the crowd, Paula Poundstone is one of our country's pre-eminent comedians. She improvises with a crowd like a Jazz musician, swinging in unexpected directions without a plan, without a net. There's a disarming ease in her craft, an immediate sense that she's so quick on her feet you need never worry about the possibility of something going wrong. Poundstone's razor sharp wit and impeccable timing makes for the perfect fit as a regular panelist on NPR's #1 show, the weekly comedy news quiz, Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me!

Paula is also an author and released her second book, the critically acclaimed, The Totally Unscientific Study of The Search for Human Happiness (Algonquin Books). The book landed at #1 on Amazon Best Sellers lists in humor in Hardcover, Audible and CD. Paula voiced the character "Forgetter Paula" in Inside Out, winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Her commentaries appear on CBS Sunday Morning and guest appearances include Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Last Call with Carson Daly, Nerdist with Chris Hardwick,Weekend Edition and Puzzle Master with Will Shortz!

Paula was the first woman, in its then 73rd year, to perform standup comedy at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. A star of several HBO specials - her 2ndspecial, Paula Poundstone Goes to Harvard marked the first time that elite university allowed its name to be used in the title of a television show. Paula also starred in her own series on HBO and ABC, The Paula Poundstone Show. Paula is recognized on Comedy Central's list of The 100 Best Standup Comics of All Time. She won an American Comedy Award for Best Female Standup Comic, and she is included in innumerable lists, documentaries and literary compendiums noting influential standup comedians of our time.
