Bay Street Theatre continued its 20th season celebration with the ROCK THE DOCK! SUMMER GALA BENEFIT on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor on Saturday, July 16. It was a beautiful night in the Hamptons set against the backdrop of Sag Harbor's sunset-drenched bay.
The evening was hosted by
Chris Bauer (HBO's True Blood),
Blythe Danner ("Meet The Parents) and
Richard Kind (Spin City, Curb Your Enthusiasm). Other attendees included
Liev Schreiber,
Naomi Watts,
Mercedes Ruehl,
Fisher Stevens and Robert Zimmerman. The evening kicked off with cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres while temptations abound at the silent auction. Guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner catered by Sterling Affair Caterers. Music and entertainment was provided by celebrity DJ Tom Finn, named "The King of Spin" by Avenue Magazine. Finn kept the packed dance floor bursting with energy and fun.
Funnyman,
Richard Kind served as Guest Auctioneer for the Live "Fantasy" Auction, and items included a one week stay for 8 in a Wimco luxury villa in St. Bart's; a walk on role in ENTER LAUGHING: THE MUSICAL at
Bay Street Theatre in August; opening night tickets and after party for Broadway's 2012 production of EVITA with
Ricky Martin; golf with
Richard Kind at The Bridge; and more.
The Summer Gala Benefit is Bay Street's most important fundraising event of the year. Funds raised from the Gala will support Bay Street's yearlong programming including; the Summer Mainstage productions, as well as Educational Outreach Initiatives including Literature Live, Summer College Internships and Theatre Camps and Classes for kids.
