Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced that The 6th Annual Honors Benefit: Curtain Up! took place on Monday, May 15 from 6-8 pm at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in New York City. BroadwayWorld has photos from the event below!

The evening began with cocktails and light bites served for Bay Street patrons and their guests, with mingling continuing for about an hour. A one-hour show, which began at 7 pm and was hosted by Scott Schwartz (Bay Street's Artistic Director), was a sneak peek of the 2017 Summer Mainstage season with songs and bits of scenes performed, along with other special moments, including the honoring of special guests Richard Kind and Jules Feiffer.

The show featured performers and creators of the Mainstage line-up including Tony award nominated Andrew Lippa (composer of The Man in the Ceiling), Tony Award-winning producer of Hamilton Jeffrey Seller (director of The Man in the Ceiling), Pulitzer Prize winning writer Jules Feiffer (playwright of The Man in the Ceiling), actor Jonah Broscow (The Man in the Ceiling), Grey's Anatomy star Kelly McCreary (Intimate Apparel), Julia Motyka (Intimate Apparel), Edward O'Blenis (Intimate Apparel), Obie Award-winning André De Shields (As You Like It) and writer Roger Rosenblatt. The world premiere of two songs composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell) from As You Like It was performed by jazz singer Gabrielle Stravelli.

The 6th Annual Honors Benefit: Curtain Up! was sponsored by Hamptons Magazine.
