The John W. Engeman Theater has just opened the musical adaptation of the iconic holiday classic - A CHRISTMAS STORY - THE MUSICAL on Thursday, Nov. 20, running through January 4, 2015. Below, BroadwayWorld brings photos of the bows and opening night festivities!

Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: An Official Red Ryder® Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. A CHRISTMAS STORY is the hilarious account of bespectacled Ralphie's desperate quest to ensure that this most perfect of gifts ends up under his tree for Christmas. Join Ralphie and his family as he navigates though leg lamps, a bully with yellow eyes, bar soap punishments and double dog dares on his way to the perfect Christmas morning. The musical is based on the classic 1983 movie, which itself was based on stories by legendary radio humorist Jean Shepherd, and features funny and heartfelt songs by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul and a faithful yet inventive book by Joseph Robinette.

A CHRISTMAS STORY - THE MUSICAL is directed and produced by Richard T. Dolce, the Engeman Theater's Producing Artistic Director.

Choreography is by ANTOINETTE DIPIETROPOLO (Engeman Theater: Evita, The Music Man, South Pacific, Hairspray, I Love You Your Perfect Now Change and Nunsense. Off Broadway: With Glee. National Tour: How The Grinch Stole Christmas) and Musical Direction by JONATHON LYNCH (The City Club, Finding Neverland; original compositions include Lunacy and SLAM!).
