Madison Theatre to Host Tim Rice's CHESS THE MUSICAL In Concert Featuring Anne Runolfsson, Jeremy Kushnier, and More  Image

The Benny Anderson-Tim Rice-Björn Ulvaeus musical Chess, which began life as a two-LP recording in 1984, will be presented at 7:30 PM on March 10th, 2018 at the Madison Theatre at Molloy College in Rockville Center, NY.

The cast will be headlined by Anne Runolfsson (Phantom of the Opera, Victor/Victoria) as Florence, Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Jersey Boys) as Freddie, and Scott Logsdon (Les Miserables) as Anatoly. Also starring are Janet Metz (Falsettoland, Fiddler on the Roof) Stephen Bishop (Beauty & the Beast, Les Miserables) as Molokov, Jake Boyd (Rock of Ages, Barrow Street Sweeney Todd) as the Arbiter and Chris White as Walter. Rounding out the cast are Riley Henderson as Gregor Vassy and Lyla Mauzy as Young Florence.

Aaron Gandy will music direct and conduct the 65-piece South Shore Symphony. Students from Molly/CAP 21 will be part of the ensemble for the concert.

The score includes such tunes as "Nobody's Side," "One Night in Bangkok," "Anthem," "I Know Him So Well," "Pity the Child" and "You and I."
