Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce IMPROV COMEDY WITH THE STOWAWAYS will continue at Bay Street Theater on Saturday, February 17, and Saturdays March 3 and 17, all at 8 pm. Keeping in the spirit of improv comedy, every night's performance will be an entirely different show from the last. Come to one, two, or all three of the remaining shows, and there will be new surprises every time! Tickets are $25 when purchased in advance, and $35 when purchased the day of the event. Bay Street Theater is also offering a $10 ticket rate to high school and college students, as well as seniors. Tickets are on sale now at baystreet.org and through the Box Office at 631-725-9500.
The Stowaways is a crew of hilarious, irreverent goofballs who simply refuse to utilize a script. Their ridiculous, improv comedy is simultaneously smart, silly, and surprising! The audience, as well as the performers, never know what's coming next, because it's a surprise to everyone. The only guarantee is an evening full of laughs.
The Stowaways improv troupe is made up of talented young actors, musicians, and comedians from the New York area, brought together by their common love of classic and modern improv comedy. They all have a mission and a passion to rejuvenate the art form.
"Improv comedy is my favorite way to connect with an audience, as well as my fellow players... if you have half as much fun watching as we have playing for you, it's still the most fun you'll have all week!" says Rob Reese, leader of the troupe.
The Stowaways work out of New York City, but their home base is at
Bay Street Theater. Rob Reese, leader of the troupe, is a theater director with over 20 years of experience in improvisation. He has performed, directed, and taught the craft throughout the United States and in over a dozen countries on five continents.
The Box Office is currently open Tuesday - Saturday, 11 am - 5 pm. To purchase tickets, call
631-725-9500 or log on to
baystreet.org.
