The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport has announced the Long Island premiere of the musical adaptation of the beloved children's book Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown. GOODNIGHT MOON is part of the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Youth Theater Series and will run June 1st through July 14th.
Goodnight Moon, a book that has delighted children for over half a century, is celebrating its 66th anniversary. This musical adaptation with book, lyrics and music by Chad Henry is the crowning achievement of author Margaret Wise Brown, with adored illustrations by Clement Hurd. This poem of goodnight wishes will be brought to life on the John W. Engeman Theater stage with fanciful song, dance and puppetry.
Goodnight Moon will feature upbeat and charming songs, utilizing a live pianist and innovative puppetry to give life to the various objects in the bunny's room. This production will surely delight the young as well as the young at heart. This exciting new musical is a perfect opportunity to remember the classic story from your childhood and introduce a whole new generation to the magic of Goodnight Moon!

GOODNIGHT MOON will play the following performance schedule: Saturdays at 11:00am and Sundays at 10:30am June 1 - July 14, 2013.
