Acclaimed director, Alison Klayman, will be Tom Needham's exclusive guest this Thursday at 6 pm on WUSB's THE SOUNDS OF FILM. She will be talking about her new film, THE BRINK, which follows the embattled former White House chief strategist, Steve Bannon, as he travels around the world trying to promote extreme nationalism.
Alison Klayman is well-known for her film's 'Aim Weiwei: Never Sorry' and 'Take Your Pills.' In THE BRINK, Klayman uses her unlimited access as a director to shine a light on one of America's most controversial political figures, Steve Bannon. Throughout the movie, Klayman's camera captures Steve Bannon speaking with world leaders about the importance of conservative nationalism. She employs a vérité approach that exposes Bannon's unique political tactics and media strategies. Magnolia Pictures' THE BRINK recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and opens theatrically in New York, Los Angeles and Washington DC on Friday, March 29, 2019.
