David Brenner, stand-up comedian, author, and founder and creator of funnydeli.com is coming to Bay Street Theatre on Monday, August 7 at 8 pm. Recognized as a political pundit who can be seen regularly on television news shows, Brenner regularly finds humor in current events.
Brenner, a multi-talented performer, has completed four HBO Specials, the latest being "David Brenner: Back with a Vengeance" which he performed live. The show was one of HBO's highest rated specials and The Hollywood Reporter proclaimed, "He's edgier and more insightful in his skewering of popular culture than ever before..."
Along with being on stage or in front of a camera, Brenner enjoyed a successful career as the writer/producer/director of 115 television documentaries and headed the distinguished documentary departments of both Westinghouse Broadcasting and Metromedia Broadcasting. Brenner's documentary work earned him a total of nearly thirty awards and citations including an Emmy Award. He is also the author of several books, the most recent being "I Think There's a Terrorist in My Soup," a guide on how to use humor and laughter to get through personal problems as well as how to cope with the problems of the world.

Jim Breuer is coming to
Bay Street Theatre on Monday, July 26. Tickets are still available. Breuer is "Long Island's own" and is known for his incredible stand-up performances, charismatic stage antics and impressions, various television appearances, movie roles and his Sirius Satellite Radio show. Breuer joined NBC's "Saturday Night Live" in 1995, becoming best known for his original character "Goat Boy" and his impression of actor
Joe Pesci, resulting in the recurring "
Joe Pesci Show" sketch. After a four-year stint on "SNL," Breuer moved on to star in the movie "Half Baked," alongside comedian Dave Chappelle. Breuer was also the host on the popular show "MTV's Beach House," which featured Jim strolling the New Jersey shore boardwalk with hidden cameras. Additional appearances include numerous stints on NBC's "Late Night with
Conan O'Brien," as well as roles in several movies, such as "Dick" (1999) and "Once in the Life" (2000), and in 2006, he made a cameo appearance in
Artie Lange's movie "Beer League." Also in 2006, Jim was named as the new host of VH1's popular show "Web Junk 20," where he guides viewers through the top 20 viral clips of the week. Other shows include appearances on
