One Week Broadway Summer Camp: CAMP ACA

BROADWAY CAMP
Camp ACA is a one-week Broadway summer camp that has kids clamoring to come back each summer. Camp is great fun for children all skill levels!

WORKSHOPS WITH BROADWAY ACTORS:
Campers take workshops with Broadway actors throughout the week.

Workshops include:

-Musical Theatre Audition Technique
-Improvisation
-Broadway Dance
-Vocal Training
-Acting for the Camera
-Intro to Shakespeare
-Intro to Stage Combat
-Intro to Stage Make-up

BROADWAY MATINEE & TALK BACK:

Campers also see a Broadway Matinee and have a "Talk Back" with actors after the show!
NYC Campers saw Broadway's smash hit Mary Poppins while the Long Island campers saw LEGALLY BLONDE. After the show, campers were treated to a TALK BACK with performers. Campers were wowed when all of the stars of Mary Poppins came out to answer questions, Gavin Lee (Bert), Catherine Walker (Mary Poppins), ALEXANDRA BARRO (Jane Banks), and Daniel Marconi (Michael Banks) were all present. It was a thrilling day!

Roslyn campers were also elated after they saw LEGALLY BLONDE! Elle Woods herself and MTV Star, Bailey Hanks, came to the Talk Back, as did Kate Shindle (Vivienne) and other members of the cast and crew!

OFF-BROADWAY DEBUT -THE FINAL SHOWCASE:
All week long campers rehearse for a final showcase in which they make their Off-Broadway debut at an exciting theatre in the heart of the Great White Way!

LUNCH BREAK WITH BROADWAY ACTORS:
During lunch break, Broadway actors visit with campers to answer questions and sign autographs!
Camp takes place in Manhattan and on Long Island in the month of August.

Manhattan Camp ACA?
When: Monday, Aug. 17 - Friday, Aug. 21?
Ages: 7 - 16 (two groups split up according to age)?

Long Island Camp ACA:

Ages: 7 - 16 (two groups split up according to age)
Where: Sid Jacobson JCC-300 Forest Dr, East Hills, NY?
Cost: $695 for members of the Sid Jacobson JCC in East Hills

$770 for non-members.
* Cost includes ticket to the Broadway matinee and bus ride to and from Manhattan on the day of the matinee.
