Have you ever wanted to have your moment on stage? Do you dream of being part of the excitement of an opening night on Broadway? Or how about sailing the seas on a classic yacht? These fantasies and more will be available to bid on at Bay Street Theatre's Summer Gala Benefit Bash taking place on Saturday, July 18th on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor.

Bay Street's 2009 Summer Gala Benefit Bash promises an evening filled with fanciful delight as fortunate ticket holders will be "Sailing Back to the 60's" with special guest Lesley Gore (Sixties hitmaker of "It's My Party") and entertainment including performances from "Hair" and Bay Street's upcoming production of "Dames At Sea", plus a 60's dance medley. Amidst the food and live music, will be the Silent and Live "Fantasy" Auction, where guests will have the chance to bid on once-in-a-lifetime items including tickets to the eagerly anticipated opening night of "The Addams Family Musical" with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth; a chartered cruise on a 75' classic yacht and a walk-on in Bay Street's production of "Dames at Sea". The fab findings continue with items including a Luella handbag from Gwyneth Paltrow, tickets to Morphoses Ballet and NY City Center, photographs by Joe Pintauro, original art from Lincoln Center Theater poster artist Jim McMullan, jewelry from Vera Wang, a children's birthday party for 12 at Bay Burger, a catered dinner party for 8, sporting experiences and much more!

The Gala Benefit is the largest fundraiser of the year for Bay Street. "The Summer Gala Benefit is so important. With ticket sales accounting for only 50% of our operating costs we count on the Gala to help us sustain our programming," says Managing Director Julie Fitzgerald. Funds raised from the Gala will support Bay Street's many year-round offerings including the Summer Mainstage productions, the Comedy Club, Bay Street at The Parrish Art Museum programs, KidStreet, the Picture Show Classic Film Series as well as Educational Outreach Initiatives including Literature Live!, Summer College Internships, Theatre Camps for Kids and the Young Playwrights Program.
Sponsors for Bay Street's 2009 Summer Gala include Bridgehampton Florist, Channing Daughters Winery, Dan's Papers, Hamptons.com, Party Rentals, lisa perry, Searles Graphics, Inc., Southampton Publick House, Sterling Affair Caterers and Suffolk County National Bank.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of the "Best of the Best - Event of the Year" (Dan's Papers, 2007 and 2008).
