As summer quickly approaches, it's time for Bay Street Theatre's ever-popular Comedy Club! From comedy legends, to Bay Street favorites, to a favorite Last Comic Standing winner, Bay Street has a comedian to tickle every funny bone.

To kick off the comedy series, Bay Street warms up audiences on Saturday, May 8th with a special one night only UNDERGROUND COMEDY SHOWCASE featuring up-and-coming comedians honing their craft on the Bay Street stage. Hosted by Long Island native, Joseph Vecsey, and featuring Clayton Fletcher, an opener for comedy favorite Cedric the Entertainer, the Underground Comedy Showcase is sure to please even the most discerning of comedy fans! The showcase starts at 8pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

The Bay Street Comedy Club returns on Mondays throughout July and August with one Saturday performance on August 7th. Kicking off the line-up is Jake Johannsen on Monday, July 12 at 8pm, a favorite of late-night legend David Letterman. PEOPLE Magazine rated Johannsen's HBO comedy special, THIS'LL TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR, "one of the ten best television shows of the year."

On Monday, July 19th, David Alan Grier takes to the stage. Best known for his stint on IN LIVING COLOR, Grier's success in theater, television and film is truly a testament to his inherent sense of comic timing. Grier is fresh off of a run on the eighth season of ABC's ever-popular DANCING WITH THE STARS.

Returning to the Bay Street stage on Monday, July 26th is former SNL comedian and Long Island's own, Jim Breuer. Breuer joined NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE in 1995, becoming best known for his original character "Goat Boy" and his impression of actor Joe Pesci resulting in the recurring "Joe Pesci Show" sketch.

David Brenner, stand-up comedian, author, and founder of funnydeli.com is back at Bay Street for a special Saturday evening performance on Saturday, August 7th. Brenner has completed four HBO Specials, the latest being "David Brenner: Back with a Vengeance" which he performed live. The show was one of HBO's highest rated specials.

Since his debut on season one of LAST COMIC STANDING, audiences can't get enough of the larger than life comedian, Ralphie May, who visits Bay Street on Monday, August 16th. After a record-setting three 1-hour Comedy Central Specials, all of which were among the networks most highly-rated, Ralphie's relatable comedic genius is in higher demand than ever.

On Monday, August 23rd don't miss the chance to see two comedy greats, Joe Piscopo and Bobby Slaton. Piscopo is a jack of all trades seen in such films as JOHNNY DANGEROUSLY and WISE GUYS, on Broadway as Vince Fontaine in GREASE! and on numerous TV shows and specials including years on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. Audiences around the country may recognize Slaton, a true "comic's comic" from his scene-stealing roles in movies such as GET SHORTY, ED WOOD, BANDITS and, most recently, DREAMGIRLS.

To wrap up Bay Street's Comedy Club line-up is Hollywood favorite, Jamie Kennedy on Monday, August 30th. Kennedy rose to fame with a scene-stealing performance in Wes Craven's SCREAM and SCREAM 2. In 2002, Kennedy created the hit show THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT in which he portrayed a myriad of characters each week. Most recently, Kennedy joined the cast of CBS' GHOST WHISPERER opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt.

All comedy performances begin at 8pm. Tickets are $60 and sell out quickly. To purchase tickets go to www.baystreet.org or call the Bay Street Box Office at 631-725-9500. Or visit us on the Long Wharf, Sag Harbor. Box office is open Tues-Sat 11am-6pm.
