Bay Street Theater Announces Free Family Day Sunday, 3/25  Image

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce Free Family Day on Sunday, March 25. The day will begin with behind the scenes tours of Bay Street Theater. Following the tours, Bay Street Theater will present two film screenings in partnerships with Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival and LongHouse Reserve.

Free Family Day is one of many events that Bay Street Theater is hosting as part of Hamptons Arts Network's First Annual Thaw Fest Weekend, in which 19 arts and cultural institutions on the east end will host over 50 unique events from March 23-25. In addition to Free Family Day, Thaw Fest weekend at Bay Street Theater includes All Star Comedy, Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater, and an Elton John tribute show by Bennie and the Jets. Tickets for these events are on sale now at baystreet.org or by calling the Box Office at 631-725-9500. There is no charge for Free Family Day, which is open to the public.

The schedule of events for Free Family Day can be found below.

11 am - 12:30 pm: Behind the Scenes Tours of Bay Street Theater

2 pm - 3 pm: Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival presents: I Know a Man, Ashley Bryan
An African-American poet, illustrator, painter, and puppet maker, Ashley Bryan is an inspiration to the people who live on the remote Cranberry Islands in Maine.

3 pm - 4 pm: LongHouse Reserve presents: LarsenWorld.
A 23-minute film about legendary textile designer Jack Lenor Larsen.
A Q&A will take place after the screening.
