The Gateway is thrilled to announce its 2017 Season! The Gateway's new season features five dazzling Broadway hits: RENT, Swing!, On the Town, Mamma Mia!, and Little Shop of Horrors. Tickets start at $59 and go on sale to the public on Tuesday, March 21 at 10am. Student and youth prices are available for select shows. Full Season Subscription Memberships are available now through March 20th. Season Subscription memberships include tickets to all five Main Stage shows and exclusive membership perks. In addition to Main Stage shows, The Gateway is excited to bring to our area Cirque Éloize iD, - a high-energy blend of circus arts and urban dance. The Gateway presents this extravaganza at Patchogue Theatre from August 9th through August 13th.

Back by popular demand, The Gateway also welcomes the return of the world's greatest live tribute show, Legends in Concert - a Special Event featuring Vegas-style tribute acts: Sting, Janis Joplin, Katy Perry, Steven Tyler, Shania Twain and Roy Orbison. The Gateway presents this live, musical spectacular at The Gateway Playhouse in Bellport on November 24th through December 3rd.

The Gateway will ring in the holiday season with A Christmas Story, The Musical. This hilarious musical comedy is based on the 1983 film of the same name and follows nine year old Ralphie and his quest for a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-Shot Range Model BB gun to appear under his Christmas tree. The laughs and songs will start on December 15th and run through December 28th at Patchogue Theatre.

This year's Children's Theatre Series includes two shows produced by The Gateway - Dreamworks' Madagascar JR. and Disney's The Lion King Jr; the interactive bubble show - Bubble Trouble, the musical based on the pinktastically popular book - Pinkalicious; and fresh off its off-Broadway run, the breathtaking show for children starring magician and illusionist Max Darwin - The Amazing Max.

The Gateway's wildly popular Annual Gala is slated for Saturday, August 19. This evening of dining and dancing includes a fabulous cocktail hour, a sumptuous dinner, exciting auction items, and a phenomenal live band. Guests will also be treated to a sample of the final Main Stage production, Little Shop of Horrors.

A Night on the Town in New York, New York

Dropping anchor in Bellport after a smashingly successful revival on Broadway, On the Town is a bold and brassy musical comedy about Three Sailors on 24-hour shore leave in New York City during World War II. Beloved for both its soaring score of Leonard Bernstein songs like "Come Up to My Place," "Lucky to Be Me," "I Can Cook Too," and the iconic, "New York, New York," and its timeless themes of youth and exuberance, On the Town is a tale about seizing the day and living life to its fullest.

The clever satire bursts with dynamic dance numbers and Motown and doo-wop songs, like "Suddenly Seymour," "Skid Row" (Downtown), "Dentist," and of course, the title song, "Little Shop of Horrors." The stage fizzes with infectious energy and phenomenal physical feats, as the 15 talented cast members perform against a kaleidoscope of video projections. Legends in Concert

November 24 - December 3 at The Gateway Playhouse

Direct from Las Vegas, Legends in Concert will include tributes to Sting, Roy Orbison, Janis Joplin, Steven Tyler and Katy Perry. Legends in Concert, is known as the pioneer of live tribute shows and possesses the greatest collection of live tribute artists in the industry. All performers not only look like the stars they portray, but use their own natural voices to pay homage to their iconic musical counterpart. Legends in Concert live tribute shows are known for their elaborate theatrical sets, magnificent costumes and full array of incredible special effects, including three-dimensional multimedia, multimillion dollar, state-of-the-art lighting, laser, and sound systems. A Christmas Story, The Musical

Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: an Official Red Ryder® Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. Rebuffed at every turn with a similar echoing response, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to acquire his coveted BB gun. All the iconic scenes from the movie are here: Ralphie's friend Flick getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole, his brother Randy getting dressed in his snowsuit, the bullies - Farkus and Dill, the leg lamp award, the bunny suit, the Chinese restaurant, Christmas dinner, and many others. The inventive score ranges from gentle ballads to show-stopping full-ensemble numbers such as "Ralphie to the Rescue!," "A Major Award," "Sticky Situation," "Up on Santa's Lap," "Somewhere Hovering over Indiana," and the inevitable, "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!" A Christmas Story, The Musical captures holiday wonder with such deliciously wicked wit that it is sure to delight children and grown-ups alike!

The 2017 season at The Gateway is partially funded by the County of Suffolk and is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
