David Heron's Against His Will, the provocative legal drama in which a young Jamaican man accuses his female boss of sexually assaulting him, will return to The New Vibe Lounge in Rockville Centre Long Island following a sold out, standing room only performance at the venue last month.

The staged concert reading of the play will be performed again on Sunday March 24 at 7pm and will be preceded by a cocktail hour beginning at 6pm.

The production, directed by Heron himself, features a cast lead by 2018 Top Indie Film Best Actor winner James Duke Walker (Roadside Assistance), along with AUDELCO Award nominees Hector Lincoln and Candice McKoy. The cast is completed by Gabrielle C. Archer, Kevin Elden, Fleurette Harris, Carlene Taylor and newcomers to the company, Stacy Ann Brissett and Jennifer J. Joseph.

Set in modern day Jamaica, Against His Will is the story of Daniel Bryan, a young computer salesman who arrives home one night and tells his wife that his female employer has just had sex with him without his consent. When he decides to file legal charges against her, the stage is set for a dramatic courtroom battle that erupts in controversy across the Caribbean nation, creating a media frenzy and shaking the very foundations of the island's judicial system.

Heron's nearly twenty year old play has been successfully produced and performed in Jamaica, the Caribbean, Canada and The United Kingdom over the years, and , more recently, has dramatically gained new traction with the rise of the #ME TOO MOVEMENT.

An updated and revised version of the script had its first public presentation as a staged reading at The Billie Holiday Theatre in Brooklyn last September, where it opened the 2018-2019 season of The Frank Silvera Writers Workshop series. The reading shattered the audience attendance record for the series and has lead to high demand for the staged reading production to be remounted elsewhere.

Against His Will- The Staged Reading had its Long Island premiere at the New Vibe Lounge in February- the first ever production of its kind to be held at the venue- where it once again played to a capacity, standing room only audience, leading to the decision to return to Vibe for an encore performance.

Heron is hoping that the ongoing performances of the produced reading will ultimately lead to a fully mounted production of the play.

An audience talk back with Heron and the cast after the reading will be followed by a Caribbean Cuisine buffet reception courtesy of Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant.

Limited tickets to the production are $35.00 including the reception buffet and are available at :-
