Argenta Community Theater Announces Performances Of A CHRISTMAS CAROL  Image

"The Argenta Community Theater is pleased to announce the presentation of A Christmas Carol with performances Dec. 13 - 23 2017. There are 11 scheduled performances including 1 student performances and 1 matinee. Ticket prices range from $10 - $30. All proceeds benefit the work of the Argenta Community Theater. The Argenta Community Theater is proud to present an original adaptation of the Charles Dickens beloved classic. Written by Arkansas playwright Judy Goss, this new stage script promises some new twists. Starring Greg Robinson as Ebenezer Scrooge, A Christmas Carol has a cast of 35 actors.

ACT is also pleased to announce that A Christmas Carol will be presented annually at the Argenta Community Theater and feature a new cast each year. The 2017 production of A Christmas Carol is presented by Centennial Bank in partnership with The Tenenbaum Recycling Foundation, the city of North Little Rock and the NLR Convention and Visitors Bureau.

This is the 3rd original stage production presented by ACT which includes the acclaimed stage adaptation of the Academy Award winning film Mrs. Miniver in 2015 and the original During Wind and Rain by Michael Rice and Margaret Bolsteri this past spring. Shows of this size involve many people in our community - acting, singing, building sets, and more.

A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, is adapted for the ACT stage by Judy Goss. It is directed by Vincent Insalaco. It is produced by Judy Tenenbaum with set design and technical direction by Sara Cooke. Costumes are designed and built by Shelly Hall. Stage Manager is Chyna Loftis. Set Construction is by Jimi Brewi. Vocal direction is by D. Brent Miller, Lighting Design is by Dena Kimberling, Choreography by Christen Pitts, Sound effects by Natasha Bray and Props Master is Lauren Nicholas.

The Cast of 35 includes: Greg Robinson as Ebenezer Scrooge; Ben Grimes at Bob Crachit; Tommy Diaz as Mr. Fezziwig; Laura Grimes as Mrs. Crachit; Francesca Bee as the Spirit of Christmas Past; Ben Barham as the Spirit of Christmas Present; Max Churchwell as Fred and Sagan Kinetic as Tiny Tim. The Ensemble includes Quin Clark, Tracy Courage, Walter Dodd, Madison Fleck, Katy Fraley, Charlie Friedman as the Fiddler, Jason Green, Max Green, Savannah Gross, Eric Harrison, Isabella Insalaco, Aaliyah Jerrod, Emily Jones, Lauren Lasseigne, Annie McCurdy, Max McCurdy, Brent Miller, Jason Morgan, Lennon Morgan, John Michael Murphy, Corbin Pitts, Grace Pitts, Beatrice Robinson, Kate Robinson, Katherine Satterfield and Jamie Stewart.

Charles Dickens penned A Christmas Carol in 1843. The story is reimagined by Arkansas playwright Judy Goss and brought to the stage by Vincent Insalaco. It is considered one of the most popular holiday stage shows about the story of an old miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.
