Walton Arts Center is excited to announce the 2019-20 Procter & Gamble Broadway Series, featuring seven must-see shows including the 2018 Tony Award winners for Best Musical and Best Musical Revival.

Broadway subscriptions are on sale now and include Jimmy Buffet's Escape to Margaritaville, The Play That Goes Wrong, A Christmas Story: The Musical, Once on This Island, Anastasia, Fiddler on the Roof and The Band's Visit.

"Broadway producers love Northwest Arkansas partly because our audiences are not afraid to try new things. This season we are bringing remarkable Broadway productions directly to Northwest Arkansas with five shows on their first national tours, six shows making their Arkansas premieres and one returning favorite," said Scott Galbraith, vice president of programming and executive producer. "We love introducing our audiences to the best of Broadway, and this season really does that."

Broadway subscribers get the best seats for the best price, discounts on other shows, free ticket exchange and replacement - and they get priority access to new shows added to the season. Patrons who subscriber now can also purchase tickets to the newest production from Blue Man Group, headed to Walton Arts Center in September, and The Book of Mormon, returning to Walton Arts Center in July 2020.

Seven-show Broadway subscriptions packages range from $316-454 for Tuesday and Wednesday evening and Thursday matinees, and $365-515 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday and Saturday matinees. Package prices vary depending on performance selected and include all fees. Dates, programs and prices are subject to change.

The Play That Goes Wrong

Tuesday, Nov. 12 - Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019

Co-written by Mischief Theatre company members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, The Play That Goes Wrong is a riotous comedy about the theater. The play follows the 'Cornley University Drama Society' who are attempting to put on a 1920s' murder mystery. As the title suggests, everything that can go wrong does, as the accident-prone thespians battle on against all odds to get to their final curtain call. Huffington Post calls it "The funniest play Broadway has ever seen!" The Play That Goes Wrong received a Tony Award for Best Set Design, Broadway.com's Audience Choice Award for Best Play and the Theater Fans Choice Award for Best Play.

A Christmas Story: The Musical

A Christmas Story, The Musical chronicles young and bespectacled Ralphie Parker as he schemes his way toward the holiday gift of his dreams, an official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle. An infamous leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a maniacal department store Santa and triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the distractions that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas wish. Chock-full of delightful songs and splashy production numbers, A Christmas Story, The Musical, has proudly taken its place as a perennial holiday classic for the whole family.

The Band's Visit

Walton Arts Center is excited to present The Band's Visit - one of the most Tony Award-winning musicals in history. The story starts when a mix-up happens at the border and an Egyptian Police Band is sent to a remote village in the middle of the Israeli desert. With no bus until morning and no hotel in sight, these unlikely travelers are taken in by the locals. Under the spell of the desert sky, their lives become intertwined in the most unexpected ways. The Band's Visit celebrates the deeply human ways music, longing and laughter can connect us all.

Walton Arts Center is Arkansas' largest and busiest performing arts presenter.
