The legendary Laugh Factory Las Vegas at the New Tropicana Las Vegas today announced this week's comedy lineup. Ian Edwards, Dean Delray and Zach Risen take the stage May 14-20.
Resident Laugh Factory Hollywood star Ian Edwards hits the stage at the new Laugh Factory Las Vegas as this week's headliner. He has appeared on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and HBO's "P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy." Edwards' sidesplitting brand of comedy brought him from a job working the Burger King drive-thru to writing for comedy successes such as "Saturday Night Live" and "Boondocks."
With more than 15 years in the comedy industry under his belt, Edwards cannot help but make people laugh, whether on stage or on screen. He was a cast member on the fifth season of "Punk'd" on MTV, where he helped Ashton Kutcher play elaborate pranks on unsuspecting celebrities including George Lopez, Raven Simone and Thora Birch. Edwards has also just finished writing for the revival of "In Living Color." Born in England and raised in Jamaica and New York, Edwards now resides in California.
Dean Delray is an enigmatic funnyman who brings the party to the stage and pulls no punches with every rock-star performance. His comedy, drawing on his own "sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll" lifestyle, leaves audiences with lighters in the air, begging for an encore. Delray has appeared in Quentin Tarantino's "Hell Ride," "The Longshots," and "Noise Matters." Before launching his comedy career, Delray was signed by 4 Non Blondes' Linda Perry, toured internationally with The Wallflowers, and opened for Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz, The Black Crowes and many more. When he is not on the stage, he can be found riding his motorcycle.
Las Vegas' very own Zach Risen hosts this week's comedy lineup. Whether joking about his "boyish" looks or getting bullied by girls, this up-and-coming 24-year-old comedian leaves audiences in a frenzy of laughter. Risen was a college freshman when he made his comedy debut at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas event center. The event coordinators had seven minutes of dead time and his fraternity brothers threw him on stage telling him to "be funny." The crowd loved him and he has not stopped since. Risen has shared the stage with veteran comedians including Brad Garret and Ron White and has performed up and down the Strip.
