Theatre in the Valley's next production is Biloxi Blues by Neil Simon, directed by Theron LaFountain. Biloxi Blues plays on Sunday, August 16 at Sun City MacDonald Ranch in the ballroom at their Desert Willow Clubhouse (2020 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson, NV 89012). Call the Sun City MacDonald Ranch clubhouse for ticketing information. It continues at the Henderson Convention Center on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22 (200 S. Water Street, Henderson, NV 89015). Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for children under 12.

The cast features Eugene Morris Jerome, Arnold Epstein, Joseph Wykowski, Don Carney, James Hennesey, Roy Selridg, Sgt Merwin J. Toomey, Daisy Hannigan, and Rowena.

Eugene Morris Jerome (alter ego of the youthful Neil Simon) is a young army recruit during the Second World War, going through his basic training, learning more about life, and developing his "Writer's Sensibility" at boot camp in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1943. Eugene and his fellow enlisted recruits suffer under a hard-nosed sergeant, partake of the daily "mess" served up for meals, join together for a visit to the local whorehouse and officially Become Adults. Eugene also confronts the ugly specter of anti-Semitism; and, for the first time, falls in love. (Tony Award Best Play 1985).
