Theater In the Valley Holds Auditions for SECOND TIME AROUND, 3/15 & 3/16

Theater in the Valley, Henderson's Premier Community Theater - 17 years running, announces auditions for comedy "The Second Time Around" by Henry Decker.

"The Second Time Around ", runs May 7-16, 2010, at Sun City Anthem, Sun City MacDonald Ranch, and the Henderson Amphitheater. Additional performances may be scheduled for this show. The production will be directed by Rob Dahl. All roles are available.

Auditions will be held on Monday, March 15th, and Tuesday, March 16th, at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at and Courtesy of Findlay Cadillac, 993 Auto Show Drive, Henderson (on the corner of Auto Show Drive and Gibson). Entrance to the parking garage is located on the Eastern side of the building of Findlay Cadillac. Turn left in the display lot after entering off of Auto Show Drive, then right at the end of the building. Continue to the back of the building and turn right on to the parking ramp. Proceed to the upper floor parking garage. Enter through the door near the center of the parking structure wall. Take the elevator to the second floor (2R) and take the hallway to the right to the last room. Audition direction signs will be posted.

Cast Breakdown:
Samuel Jonas - (M) [55-99] a widower, alert, spritely, attractive and all around nice human being.

Laura Curtis - (F) [55-99] a widow who is devoted. She is pleasant, neat in appearance and welcome to the eye.

Mike Curtis - (M) [30-55] Son of Laura. He is a hard-driving young businessman with a nervous stomach. If possible, know how to juggle (not mandatory).

Cynthia Morse - (F) [30-55] Daughter of Samuel. She is a matronly and very suburban, neurotic, well-dressed and good looking.

Eleanor Curtis - (F) [30-55] Wife of Mike. Face of an angel. She is the domineering tyrant of the household.

Dr. Arthur Morse - (M) [30-55] Husband to Cynthia. A Psychiatrist, neurotic and bookish.

Bruce Morse - (M) [18-26] Son of Cynthia and Arthur. Sophomore at Columbia University. Great looking and lusts after Angela.

Angela - (F or M passable cross-dress) [18-26]. Sophomore as well. In a relationship with Bruce. Is also knockout.

Plot: A couple of seniors find that living together is just what they need do to live off their Government suppliEd Checks and make it. The children though, find that this is an uncomfortable situation that requires their intervention. From the first moment to the last twist, laughter ensues with neurotic tendencies.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and some comic improvisation.

The script has mild profanity and drug use (pills).

Picture and resume are requested, but are not required.

Theater in the Valley is an established non-profit (501c) community theater located in Henderson, NV. We are an entirely volunteer organization and there is no pay.
