The Smith Center for the Performing Arts welcomes Daniel Neel to its management team as the newly appointed Vice President of Development. With more than three decades of development and financial services experience, Neel most recently served as the Chief Development & Finance Officer for The Animal Foundation, where he oversaw and directed the early completion of a $35 million capital campaign.
"We're excited to bring someone with Daniel's exemplary expertise and experience into the organization, as we embark on our endowment campaign," says Myron Martin, President and CEO of The Smith Center. "Daniel will help us reach our goals to sustain this amazing institution."
As Vice President of Development, Neel will oversee the strategic fundraising efforts, inclusive of a large endowment campaign and donor relations operations for The Smith Center in an effort to sustain its position as the region's premier arts and entertainment destination for generations to come.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Neel has a tenured career in development, finance and investment management, during which he has held high-level leadership positions to oversee several successful comprehensive, multi-level regional and national fundraising programs and campaigns, raising more than $1 billion for capital and operational needs. Locally, Neel has provided strategic counsel to such organizations as Bishop Gorman High School, Faith Lutheran Middle and High Schools, Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada, the UNLV Football Foundation, and others.
