The Smith Center for the Performing Arts announced a new SMS-based, opt-in program for Las Vegas students that will offer reduced price tickets for select shows. With first-run touring productions, internationally-acclaimed performers and guest lecturers, The Smith Center is the centerpiece of cultural life in Las Vegas and the Student Rush club makes purchasing tickets even more affordable for students.

High school and higher education students that are at least 16 years of age with a valid and current student ID are encouraged to join Student Rush by text messaging 411247 with the message SmithStudent. Once in the Student Rush database, alerts will be sent regarding which shows will be available for the reduced Student Rush price of $25 (inclusive of $3 facility fee). Tickets will be limited to two per person, per ID, and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at The Smith Center Box Office two hours prior to curtain time. Seating will be best available.

The Student Rush club kicks off with $25 tickets for Béla Fleck and Brooklyn Rider on Saturday, Feb. 8. For more information regarding the complete calendar of shows scheduled at The Smith Center, please visit TheSmithCenter.com.
