The Improv At Harrah's LV Announces Ty Barnett As Headliner

Budd Friedman and Mark Lonow's world-famous Improv Comedy Club at Harrah's Las Vegas showcases a different marquee of acts each week. Ty Barnett takes the stage Tuesday through Sunday, with supporting acts Ronnie Schell and Wendy Hammers. Shows are at 8:30pm and 10:30pm every Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets are $29.05 (plus applicable taxes) or $44.95 (plus applicable taxes) for VIP tickets that include special seating, an Improv t-shirt and post-show meet-and-greet with the comics. Special two-for-one tickets are also available for locals. Tickets are available at Harrah's Box Office (702-369-5223) and online at www.harrahs.com.

Ty Barnett, a Chicago native who has been performing since his high school days on the city's south side. He describes his comedy as "comfortably social with funny political views that aren't forced on the audience."

He began touring - and earning rave reviews - in California, Oregon and Canada before being voted "Up-and-Coming Comedian of the Year" in 2002 at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. He first gained the attention of Hollywood after being named "Outstanding Performer" at Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

Since then, Barnett has appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Comedy Central Presents and Premium Blend.

He has been the opening act for Donna Summer, and has also performed with Chris Rock, Al Green and Robert Schimmel.

Barnett currently headlines top comedy clubs nationwide and is one of the most requested comedians at colleges across the country.
