One of the most popular and successful bands to come out of the ‘60s, The Association will perform at the Suncoast Showroom April 14 and 15.
The Association formed in 1965 after the breakup of an eleven-man electric folk group call The Men. After months of rehearsal and performing in nightclubs, coffeehouses and colleges across Southern California, The Association released their first album, which included the chart-topping hits “Along Comes Mary” and “Cherish.” Their third No. 1 hit, “Windy” was released with the band’s third album.
Other top 10 hits include “Never My Love,” “Everything that Touches You,” “Six Man Band,” “Time for Livin’” and “Requiem for the Masses.”
The Association has received seven Grammy® nominations and was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1967 for “Best Original Music” for the soundtrack to “Goodbye Columbus.”
Three original members of The Association, Larry Ramos, Russ Giguere and Jim Yester, are joined by Jordan Coe, Bruce Pictor and Del Ramos to complete the current line-up.
Showtime each evening is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $15.95, plus tax and convenience fees. Tickets can be purchased at any Coast Casinos box office, by calling 702.636.7075 or visiting www.suncoastcasino.com.
